Galvanized Steel Coils Supplier

Discover our certified galvanized steel coils, a durable and long-lasting material for roofing, appliances, and automotive.

[ Why Choose Galvanized Steel? ]

The Advantages of Galvanized Steel

This material offers a great balance of protection and value.

Long-lasting Protection

The zinc coating protects the steel from rust, making it a good choice for outdoor and humid environments.

Excellent Formability

Galvanized steel is easy to stamp, bend, and weld, meeting the complex shape requirements of the automotive and home appliance industries.

Cost-Effective

Compared to other corrosion-resistant materials, galvanized steel is a more economical choice, which helps control project budgets.

Here are some of the benefits that you will gain when you buy galvanized steel coils:

When your project needs steel that can stand up to rust and wet weather, galvanized steel is the right choice. It has a zinc coating that protects the steel from corrosion. We provide certified galvanized coils with the exact specs you need.

[ How It Works ]

Grade & Application

1. DX51D (EN)

Typical Strength:Commercial Steel

Key Properties & Formability:Excellent for cold forming and deep drawing; highly flexible.

Primary Applications:Home appliances, automotive parts, deep drawn goods, simple profiles.

2. SGCC (JIS)

Typical Strength:Commercial Steel

Key Properties & FormabilityGood weldability and moderate formability; general purpose.

Primary Applications:Roofing, HVAC ducting, non-structural construction, general manufacturing.

3. A653-CS (ASTM)

Typical Strength:Commercial Steel

Key Properties & FormabilityExcellent uniformity and good ductility; widely accepted in North America.

Primary Applications:Utility buildings, metal framing, general purpose construction.

4. S350GD (EN)

Typical Strength:High Strength

Key Properties & FormabilityStructural strength for load-bearing applications; less focus on complex forming.

Primary Applications:Load-bearing roofing, structural floor decks, large metal buildings.

Zinc Coating

1. Standard Coating (Z180 - Z275)

This is the most common range. For instance, a Z275 coating means the steel has 275g/m2 of zinc (both sides combined). This level provides robust, long-lasting protection for general outdoor and construction use (e.g., roofing, gutters).

2. Heavy Coating

For extreme environments or corrosive industrial applications, we supply heavier coatings to maximize service life.

3. The Science

The zinc layer sacrifices itself first when exposed to corrosive elements, protecting the underlying steel from rust. This is known as cathodic protection.

Surface Finish

1. Regular Spangle (R)

The most common finish, characterized by visible, large zinc crystals. It’s a reliable, cost-effective choice for general construction where the final appearance is less critical.

2. Minimized Spangle (M)

The cooling process is controlled to create smaller, less distinct zinc crystals. This smoother surface is better for applications that require a more uniform look or are intended for painting.

3. Zero Spangle (Z)

This finish has virtually no visible crystal patterns. It provides the smoothest surface, making it the ideal choice for high-end applications like automotive panels and external appliance parts, where a flawless, uniform finish is required for painting.

[ FAQ ]

Common Questions About Galvanized Steel

Galvanized steel has excellent corrosion resistance, but it’s not 100% rust-proof. Corrosion can occur if the coating is damaged or in extreme environments. Proper use and maintenance are key.

Spangle refers to the crystalline pattern that forms on the surface of galvanized steel. The type of spangle (regular, minimized, or zero) mainly affects the appearance. Zero spangle provides a smoother surface, which is often preferred for applications like home appliances and automotive parts.

Galvanized steel is carbon steel with a zinc coating, which protects against rust. Stainless steel has chromium in its composition, which forms an invisible layer to resist corrosion. Stainless steel is more resistant to corrosion, but galvanized steel is typically more cost-effective.

Yes. We provide galvanized steel coils that are specifically designed for the automotive industry. They have excellent formability and surface quality and can be used for manufacturing body panels and structural parts.

Yes. We provide an MTC with every order. This document proves the material’s chemical and mechanical properties.

Our products are strictly produced according to international standards (e.g., ASTM, JIS, EN). We can also provide customized production and third-party inspection services upon request.
